LEWIS

Jack E. Lewis entered into eternal rest Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at the age of 
87. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Eleanor, in 1997. 

He is survived by a son, Gary (Sharon) Lewis of West Carrollton, Ohio, and a 
daughter, Karla (Larry) Cooper of Slidell; six grandchildren, Angela Meyer of 
Miamisburg, Ohio, Shelley (Trey) Gill of Pearl River; Doug Lewis of Dayton, 
Ohio; Lisa Ballard of Pearl River; Ben Cooper of Slidell, Brian Cooper of 
Slidell and nine great-grandchildren. 

A native of Ohio and longtime resident of Slidell, Jack was a World War II 
veteran and retired from Textron Marine & Land Systems. He was a devoted 
husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all.

Funeral services were held yesterday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in 
Slidell. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Tammany 
Humane Society.
