She is survived by her only child, Maureen McKinnon Chambless; her son-in-law, Thomas J. Chambless, Jr.; grand-daughter, Christa Nico Chambless; grandson, Thomas J. Chambless, III; and her four great-grandchildren, Chandler Scott Cahill, Spencer Jordan Cahill, Hayden McKinnon Chambless and Landry Jordan Chambless. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington, where she belonged to the Lydia Bible Class. Peggy was an avid bridge player and spent many happy hours with her friends at the Hayden Hall Senior Center in Covington. She once worked as an agent with Stan Weber Real Estate and Merrill Lynch Real Estate both in New Orleans, LA. She loved working in the yard and savored the moments on her screened in porch. She was married to R.J. "Bob" McKinnon who went to be with the Lord fourteen years prior. Peggy loved her Lord, her life and was a beacon for her family. She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433. The service will be preceded with fellowship beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment adjacent to her husband will occur at a later date in Tomball, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 Tyler Street, Covington, LA 70433. ===================
