She was in the 82nd year of her age. Survived by her loving husband of over sixty years Col. (Ret) Sidney J. Scholl. Mother of Dr. Russell A. Scholl (wife: Mary Ann Lee), Rissa J. Scholl, Captain Clifton M. Scholl (wife: Cecilia Ann Dickson), Brion D. Scholl (wife: Barbara "Jill" Peterson), and Aaron M. Scholl. Grand children by Russ and Mary: Jessica Lee, Jennifer Ann, Joshua Adrian; by Clif and Cecilia: Cheree Rene, Christina Michelle; by Brion and Jill: Katherine Marie, wife of John Thiebaud. Audrey is the daughter of Robert Edmond Leftwich and Gladys Mabel Villar Leftwich and granddaughter of William Austin Leftwich and Georgiana Wallace Leftwich. Audrey is a direct descendant of Revolutionary War Patriot Colonel William Leftwich of Virginia. She is survived by her sister Gladys Isabel Leftwich Schultz widow of Jeremiah J. Schultz, Jr. Her other sister Virginia Leftwich Webb, and brothers William Austin (Widow: Ruby LeBlanc Leftwich), and Robert Edmond (Widow: Virginia Janet "Jan" Johnston Leftwich) are deceased. For many years a very active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell, Audrey served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. She ministered to the sick at home and in the hospital and was very active in coordinating activities of the ministries teams at the church. She received one of the highest and most cherished honors bestowed on a member of the laity when Most Reverend Francis B. Schulte, Archbishop of New Orleans, awarded the Order of St. Louis IX to her in ceremonies at the St. Louis Cathedral. Audrey's life long patient, serene and understanding manner created a closely bound loving family warmed by her adoring grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at 9:00 am and funeral mass at 11:00 am on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1050 Robert Blvd. Slidell, LA.
