Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2010/st1010.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== EVELYN GARNETTA REAGAN BELCHER, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, died early Sunday morning, October 3, 2010, at Oschner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans, LA at the age of 92. She was born February 5, 1918 to Meda and James Roscoe Reagan in Groom, Texas and grew up in Panhandle, TX. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II, and retired in 1993 after 25 years of civil service with the US Navy at North Island Naval Air Station, Coronada, CA, where she was affectionately known as "Ms. B". A resident of Slidell, LA since 1993, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School and volunteered for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, a brother James Vernon Reagan of Abilene, TX, and her husband Claude Belcher. She is survived by one daughter, Pat Murr, of Slidell, LA; a niece, Sue Farr of Abilene, TX, and stepson Al Belcher of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Rick Meadows and wife Gina of Slidell, LA, Randy Meadows and wife Laura of Morgan City, LA, and Katrina Moore and husband Alex of Minot, ND. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Robert Meadows, Jonathan Meadows and wife Ashley, Sara Catchot, Daniel Meadows, Kristin Meadows, Christopher Meadows, Joshua Moore, Zachary Moore, and Matthew Moore, Kristin Jones and husband Jason. Survived also by five great-great-grandchildren: Britton Meadows, Braedon Meadows, Marlie Catchot, Aiden Jones, and Brea Jones. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services at Honaker Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7, 2010. Visitation will begin at 9:00am with funeral services at 10:00am, led by Rev. Jim Baham, of the First Baptist Church of Slidell, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of New Orleans. ===================
