Douglas, 60, born Nov. 3, 1949, owner of Douglas Machine, ASE Certified Machinist, Slidell, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010. He and his late brother, Paul, were adopted by the late Isaiah and Elizabeth Douglas. He is survived by sister-in-law Hilda, and nephews Jake and Ross Douglas. After years of research, he located his natural parents, Eugene Esposito and the late Nancy Esposito. He is survived by siblings Mary Ann, Phyllis, and Gino; his six children, Shawn Berdux, Jennifer Douglas Jarrell, Julie Douglas, Talia Douglas, Catalina Douglas, and Jonah Douglas; his grandchildren, Marley Berdux, Morgan Berdux, Isaiah Douglas, Teajuane Douglas, Martel Douglas, Elijah Jarrell and Olivia Jarrell; his wife Cynthia Byrd Douglas; mother and father-in-law Claudia and Harold Fiest; brother-in-law David Byrd and sister-in-law Marsha Breisacher. A bike run will start at A-1 Raceway on Hwy 36 at noon Saturday. Rain date for the run will be Sunday. Proceed to Christian Church of Slidell. 57030 Allen Road, Slidell, LA at 1 p.m. for a memorial service, Celebration of Life. Then continue to Davis Landing at 4 p.m. to launch boats to his property on the West Pearl River. Many thanks to Jimmy & Terry Braddy for taking Mike into their home and caring for him in his last days. Thanks to Cecil Wilkinson and Lakeshore Hospice for all of their help.
