Deborah Lynn Hampton, 58, entered the kingdom of our Lord Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010. After a lengthy illness and years of strength and courage, her battles came to an end, leading her straight into the arms of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Deborah enjoyed her animals, gardening, crocheting, shopping, reading and TV sitcoms. Her favorite past time was to spend time talking and sharing stories with her grandchildren. Deborah is preceded in death by her first husband, the late Vincent G. White and her second husband, the late Lawrence A. Glass. Between her marriages, she was blessed with five loving children, Vincent G. White, II (Pamela), Tosha E. White (Donald), Rachel A. Pickering (Don), Victor J. White, Sr. (Jennifer), all of Slidell, LA and Patrick A. Hampton (Angela) of Irmo. Deborah also had five grandchildren, all of which she truly loved, Michael A. White, Madison M. White, Felicity R. White, Victor J. White, Jr. and Molly F. White, all of Slidell. What brought the most joy to the later part of Deborah's life was Haley, her loving chihuahua and Kira and Kodi, her beautiful huskies. Deborah was born in Gastonia, N.C., Oct. 30, 1951, to her loving parents, Frances Hampton Cooper of Gaston and the late John Creed Hampton. She was the sister of Tammy H. Currie (Ken) and Charles "Bubba" Hampton (Ruth), and was predeceased by Darlene H. Sims, Johnny Hampton and Donna H. Lafevre. Deborah leaves behind a host of loving nieces and nephews, Bobby Sims, John Sims, Jason Hampton, Kenneth "KC" Currie, Kristen Currie, Darlene Lafevre, Gregory Lafevre, Charles Hampton, Jr., Heather Hampton and Dawn Hampton and seven great-nieces and nephews.
