JENKINS

Michael A. Jenkins passed away Aug. 18, 2010 at the Canon Hospice in Gulfport, 
Miss. 

He was 51 years old. 

He was born May 24, 1959 in Covington to Shelly Jenkins and Shhirley Metcalf 
Jenkins. 

He is survived by his mother, Shirley; his brother, Martin Jenkins; daughters 
Ashley Jenkins Lape and Danielle Jenkins; son Michael Jenkins Jr.; stepdaughter, 
Nicole Schael and granddaughters, Alexis Lape and Kalisha Cheyanne Miller. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Jenkins.

Michael was a red-headed man, who died after a courageous battle with cancer. He 
had many friends. 

Michael wanted his body given to medical science and requested it be cremated 
afterwards. Michael was the kind of man who helped everyone who needed help, and 
would give his last dollar to someone in need. He was loved by many.

Michael's friends are giving him a service followed by a potluck dinner from 1 - 
4 p.m. Sunday at 67835 Highway 41, Pearl River, close to Highway 36.
