Jean Winifred Brown Mackey, passed away Oct. 5, 2010 at the age of 78. 

She was a native of New Orleans, and a graduate of Behrman High School. She 
attended Tulane University on the Governor's College Scholarship. 

She is survived by two sons, Thomas O Mackey, Jr. and Kevin E. Mackey and their 
spouses; her brother, Eugene Brown, Jr.; five grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Craig A. Mackey and her 
parents, Eugene Brown, Sr. and Charlotte Higgins Brown.

A private graveside service was held in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell. 

Donations to the American Diabetes's Assoc. at www.diabetes.org or to a charity 
of your choice is preferred in lieu of flowers.
