Courtney Nicole Maddox, 22, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 30, 2010. 

Born Dec. 9, 1987 in El Paso, Texas, Courtney grew up in Slidell, where she 
attended Bonne Ecole Elementary, Slidell Junior High, Clearwood Junior High, and 
Slidell High School. 

Courtney was preceded in death by her love, Allen Awalt. 

She is survived by daughter, Avery Awalt of El Paso; mother, Tammy Maddox of El 
Paso; father, Ken Maddox of Slidell; brothers Ryan Maddox of Atlanta and Robert 
Maddox of El Paso; grandparents, David and Connie Brink of El Paso and Sterling 
and JoAnn Shaw of El Paso, Roger and Bonnie Maddox of Colorado Springs, Colo., 
and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Courtney will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of her family and 
Friends
