JOHN W. "J.B." EMERY, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010 
in Slidell, LA.

Beloved father of John David and Jayson Christopher Emery. Son of Mary E. Parker 
and the late Edgar L. Emery. Brother of Terry E. Emery, Jerry L. Emery and the 
late Sharon Maxine Emery. Also survived by 1 grandchild, Caitlyn Neight.

Age 59 years; a native of Woodriver, IL, Mr. Emery was a retired Detective 
Sergeant for the Slidell Police Dept. He was currently the Maintenance 
Supervisor at Salmen High School in Slidell, LA and a member of First Baptist 
Church of Slidell, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 
11:00am until 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
