At the age of three loved airplanes and was fascinated by their complexity. He always knew that he would be a pilot and he never struggled with what he wanted to do with his life. He played baseball and soccer for many years and was always a team player. He graduated from Hood River Valley High School in 1998. He then received his Associates degree in Aviation from Mt. Hood Community College. Nate was very passionate about flying and felt at peace in the sky because he knew he belonged there. He spent a lot of time with his stepson, Kole M. Hampton, just being a big kid and playing outdoors. Kole thought of Nate as a hero and always looked up to him with admiration. Nate also made sure to help others and was happy to lend a hand to anyone in need at any time. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Nathan Hazlett was the beloved husband of Kristen Lassiter Hazlett and admired stepfather to Kole M. Hampton, who loved him dearly. Loving son of Gary and Sally Hazlett, brother of Matthew (wife Rachel) Hazlett and Julie Hazlett. Also survived by his grandmothers, Tommie Reznick and Arlene Hazlett, and many other loving relatives and friends. The Service will be held in Hood River, Oregon on Thursday, November 11, 2010. ===================
