Robert "Bob" Ellis Nelson, 80, of Slidell, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010.

He was the beloved husband of Evelyn Porter Nelson; father of Alan P. Nelson 
(Donna), Glenn C. Nelson (Darlene) and William J. Nelson (Nikole) and brother of 
Jane N. Overstreet, the late Gerald P. and Eugene A. Nelson. He is also survived 
by seven grandchildren.

A native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Slidell, he served in the 
U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a staff sergeant aboard a B-26 
bomber. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of VFW Post 5174 and 
American Legion Post 374.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services 
at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pearl River United Methodist Church, 64480 Hwy 41, Pearl 
River.
