Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2010/st1011.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== ELIZABETH "BETTY" DUFFY PARKER, 84, a former resident of Oldham, South Dakota, and a resident of Slidell, LA since 1963, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ruth Duffy, brother Thomas J. Duffy, sister Margaret Alice Driscoll and grandson Steven Kangas. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack E. Parker, three children, Theresa P. Robinson (husband Sam), Cheryl P. Richards ( husband Julian), and Angela P. Kangas (husband Jim); one brother: Louis Duffy; eight grandchildren: Laura Kidd MD, Parker Robinson, Ben Robinson, Tricia Young, Forrest Richards, Julian Richards III, Matthew Kangas, and Mary Kangas; and two great- grandchildren: Emily Young and Molly Young. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who treasured her time with family and friends. She was a devout Catholic whose faith was exemplified by her life. Betty was an avid duplicate bridge player who achieved Life Master status. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Crossgates Blvd, Slidell LA, on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Friends may visit at the church on Monday beginning at 10:00am.
