Hezzie Barney Sharp passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Lydia Galloway Sharp; and brother of Melvin Sharp 
and Sadie S. McClendon. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He 
was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Thomas Sharp; his father, Percy 
Sharp; and a brother, Clyde Sharp.

Age 80 years, he was a native and lifelong resident of Covington, LA. A United 
States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a 
Deacon and active member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on 
Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 20116 Hwy 
1081, Covington, LA.

A wake will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at E.J. 
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433; and 
visitation will continue on Monday AT THE CHURCH beginning at 9:00 AM.

Graveside services with Military Honors will follow services in Pilgrim Rest 
Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Pilgrim Rest Baptist 
Church or Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN .
