Beloved husband of Bobby Taylor for the past 40 years. Father of Lena Ann James, Mary Ellen Clair, Gabrielle Elise Carter, Jennifer Allison Sheefield, Richard Evans Taylor, Jr. and the late B. Owen Poland. Son of the late Wilburn and Florence Taylor. Brother of the late Gary Taylor and Patricia Taylor. Also survived by 11 grandchildren. Age 70 years; a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Lacombe for the past 40 years. Dickie was 1/3 of the Ronnie Kole trio and many other bands. He was the drummer and leader of the DUKES of Dixieland for the past 20 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12:00pm.
