Kevin Joseph Czernia passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at his residence in 
Abita Springs. 

He was born October 16, 1949 in New York City and lived for many years in New 
Orleans. He retired from the Greater New Orleans Public Belt Railroad after 25 
years of dedicated and valued employment.

The beloved son of Elsie Tillotson Czernia and the late Joe F. Czernia, he is 
survived by his daughter, Jessica Michelle Czernia; one granddaughter, Ivy 
Elysia Huffman; two sisters, Pamela C. Rees (Jim) and Jean C. Thomassie (Juan) 
and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend memorial services at 
11:00 AM on Monday, December 27, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 
21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433

Visiting hours will begin Monday at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Upward Community Services, 1117 N. 
Columbia St., Covington, LA 70433.
