GUNN, ALLEN C. "BUZZ" 
(December 1, 1922 - December 25, 2010)

ALLEN C. "BUZZ" GUNN, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010 
at his home in Slidell, LA. 

Beloved husband of Paula Marcia Britt Gunn for the past 62 years. Father of 
Stephan Allen Gunn and partner Gary Lee Gasior, Laura Lee Oppland and husband 
William H. Oppland, Jr., and Carol Ann Posey and husband Steven A. Posey. Son of 
the late Clifford Burrell Gunn and Marguerite Melba Tell Gunn. Brother of Melba 
Laura Gunn Britt. Brother-in-law of Dorothy Maxine Prezbindowski. Grandfather of 
Stephanie Claire Oppland (Robert Zelle), Lauren Ashley Zes (Daniel Zes), Caitlin 
Suzanne Oppland, Charles William Oppland, Danielle Renee Posey. Great 
grandfather of Robert Carter Zelle and Julia Britt Zelle. Also survived by other 
relatives, family members and numerous friends. 

Age 88 years, a native of St. Louis, MO and a resident of Slidell, LA since 
1980; Buzz served his country in the US Navy during WWII and was a retired 
Cartographer for the US Government. 

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Slidell, LA, the Northshore 
R/C Club, and the Krewe of Dominique. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, LA on Thursday, 
December 30, 2010 at 11:00am. Visitation will begin on Wednesday evening from 
4:00pm until 7:00pm and on Thursday morning from 9:00am until 11:00am. Interment 
will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS at 1:30pm.
