James Arnold Hanson passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the age of 66.

Beloved husband of Judith Ann Jewell Hanson. Loving father of Jeffrey Carl, 
Jamey Alan, Jennifer Ann, Joseph Anthony, Julianne Marie, Jill Elizabeth, Joanna 
Christine, Jonathan Christopher, Jessica Theresa Mary, and adopted children 
Derick and Amanda. Son of the late Gertrude and Carl Hanson. Brother of Donald 
Hanson and Rita Terpstra. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 4 great-
grandchildren.

He was native of Decatur, MI and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 15 
years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on 
Friday, December 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. FIELDING FUNERAL 
HOME, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Friday 
beginning at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be in Decatur, MI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Hanson be 
made to Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance, FARA 102 Pickering Way, Suite 
200, Exton, PA 19341, USA.
