Beloved husband of Mary Persky-Mazerole; father of Lyndy Kay Dugas (Beanie Dugas) and Arthur "Arty" Ray Mazerole Jr. (Tarah LaBiche). Stepfather of Marc C Pizzo and Eric C Pizzo. He is the proud "Grampy" of Madison Rae Mazerole, Ashton Dugas, and Sophia Camille Mazerole. Brother of Barbara Mazerole Lasseigne; and Uncle of Stacey Lasseigne Peterson (Paul Peterson). He is the son of the late Francis Mazerole and Markel Doucet Racca. Art is survived by numerous aunts, cousins and friends. Born in New Iberia, LA, Art was in the oil & gas business for 45 years, he was a member of the Tiger Athletic Foundation, Softball Hall of Fame, and an avid LSU Tiger fan. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Art's Life on Tuesday, January 4 2011, at 10:00AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 South New Hampshire St., Covington, LA 70433, where mass will be held followed by a gathering of family and friends. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Coteau, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the National Brain Tumor Society (braintumor.org).
