She was preceded in death by her dearly beloved husband of 31 years Charles Hursey Pichon; father and mother Alfred E. Carr Sr. and Olive Carr; brothers Calvin Carr and Alfred E. Carr Jr and sister Joey Carr Lamarque. She is survived by her two sons Jay Steele, his fiancŽ Heather Walters and Edward Steele and his wife Kathy Steele; one grandson Brad Steele, two granddaughters Sarah Steele and Shauna Steele; sister Georgie Guidry; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a Girl Scout Leader and later an elementary and Jr. High School Teacher for many years in Slidell. She was instrumental in forming the Slidell Liver Support Group to assist those needing liver transplants as well as those battling hepatitis. She was member of First Baptist Church in Slidell. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at 1:00 PM at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, in Slidell. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to the American Liver Foundation. ===================
