GEORGE A. PONTHIEUX, SR., of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 
2010 at Ochsner Northshore Hospital in Slidell, LA.

Beloved husband of Mary Ponthieux for the past 40 years. Father of Angel 
Ponthieux Langlinais and husband Troy, George Alton Ponthieux, Jr., and Tiffany 
Nicole Ponthieux. Brother of George "June Bug", Paul and Michael Ponthieux, 
Carol Genusa, Deborah Luneua and Betty Jane Tromblay and the late Inez Locke.

Also survived by 4 grandchildren; Kaylyn and Kristen Ponthieux and Madison and 
Megan Langlinais, and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law and other relatives 
and friends.

Age 63 years; a native of Melville, LA, a longtime resident of Westwego, LA for 
20 years and a resident of Slidell for the past 7 years. George served his 
country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 
9:00am until 11:00am. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery at 
2:30pm.
