James Joseph Prats, Sr. passed away December 6, 2010. A life resident of Abita 
Springs, LA, he was born December 25, 1945 to the late Anthony Louis and Thelma 
Loyacano Prats.

The beloved husband of Mary Ann Grinage Prats, he is survived by two daughters, 
Barbara P. Kemp (Cliff) and Sandra P. DiPietro (Ricco); one son, James J. Prats, 
Jr. (Michelle); his brother, A.L. Prats, Jr. (Lila), one sister, Peggy P. 
Hammond; six grandchildren: Brandon Prats (Tara), Jonathan Prats (Brandi), Kevin 
and Rebekah Prats, Matthew Kemp, Alex DiPietro and one great grandson, Barrett 
Prats. He was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey P. Hingle.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 
12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 
21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433

Visiting hours will begin Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Interment will immediately follow services at the Abita Springs Cemetery.
