IVELL WELBORN PURVIS, of Slidell, LA on Friday, December 17, 2010.

Beloved wife of the late Oscar Miller Purvis. Mother of Michael O. Purvis, Tim 
A. Purvis ( wife Rosaleen ), Cheryl P. Schemanski (husband Phil ), and the late 
Karen P. Lorentz (Late husband Lionel Lorentz). Daughter of the late Oliver W. 
Welborn and Vallie Garrick Welborn. Sister of Pat Harris, Doris Boggs and the 
late Dorothy Pouncey.

Also survived by 7 grandchildren; Stephanie Brashear (husband Mike), Andy Prude 
(wife Sue), Angie Bailey (husband Ryan), Shane Purvis, Amy Purvis, Heather 
Schemanski, Noah Schemanski and 10 great grandchildren; Stephen Brashear, Daniel 
Brashear, Andrew Brashear, Drew Prude, Kate Prude, Caleb Bailey, Joshua Bailey, 
Paul Bailey, Abby Bailey, and Silas Schemanski. She is also survived and 
remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Age 85 years.

A native of Sanford, MS and a resident of Slidell since 1964. Mrs. Purvis was a 
member Calvary Baptist Church where she was in the choir and enjoyed playing 
piano. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at Calvary Baptist Church, 1615 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, LA 70458 on 
Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at church from 
9:00 am until 11:00am. Graveside will follow in Bryant Cemetery, Sanford, MS at 
2:00pm
