Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2010/st1012.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Gary Paul Verzwyvelt of Slidell, Louisiana passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in his home Tuesday, December 7, 2010 after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. He would have been 49 years old on December 9th. Gary was the beloved husband of Annie Fry Verzwyvelt and the father of Katie, John Paul and Eric Verzywvelt. He was the son of Elster and Betty Verzwyvelt and the brother of Liz Wiggins, Brent Verzwyvelt, and Andrea Hodson. Gary grew up in Slidell graduating from Slidell High School and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. After living in Arkansas and Michigan, Gary and his family moved back to Slidell to work as a Computer Systems Analyst Designer for Lockheed Martin. Until the time of his death, Gary had a passion for those he loved. He had no greater joy than the company of his family. He loved sports whether playing or watching his own boys. He was an amazing man who cared deeply for all who touched his life. Visitation is Saturday, December 11th at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell from 11:30 to 1:30. A funeral mass will begin at 1:30. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Abbey Cemetery in Covington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gary's name to the East St. Tammany Relay for Life Cancer Fund. ===================
