Jimmy was the youngest of four children, born to Shirley and William H. "Blue" Williams of Slidell, who are all now deceased. He is survived by his wife, Louise Gaines Williams, to whom he was married for the last 54 years; his three sons, James Robert and William Anthony "Bill" Williams and Gregory Loveless; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers; William Frank "Bill" and Bert Crim Williams and his sister; Shirley Mae Williams. Jimmy was a navy veteran and after his military service he was employed by Boeing Aircraft as a welder to work on the moon mission space craft. He was well known for his expertise and excellent quality of work and received many awards and commendations. Because of his critical work on the space program, he was the only hourly employee that was invited to a special reception at the Rice Hotel in Houston with Neil Armstrong and all the other astronauts after the first moon landing mission. After his service at Boeing, he finished his career with Boland Marine Machine Shop in New Orleans and retired in 1990 to enjoy the rest of his years by traveling, gardening and enjoying his family and friends. A resident of Carriere,MS., for the past 12 years and a former long time resident of Slidell. Private Funeral Services were held. Interment was in Audubon Cemetery, Hickory, La. In lieu of flowers, donations to Forrest General Hospice, 1414 28th St., Hattiesburg, MS, 39402, preferred. ===================
