Age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Francis Armstrong. Daughter of the late Joseph Herman Christoph and Mary Kunzier Christoph. Mother of Kathleen Armstrong, Laura Beicher, Barbara Illg, Amy Willett, Joseph Patrick Armstrong and Mary Rowe. Mother in law of John W. Beicher, Joseph B. Illg, Gary Willett, and Jeffrey S. Rowe. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, Kelly Esteve Thompson, Jodie L. Esteve, Ryan G. Saunders, Mitchell L. Saunders, Katherine E. Illg, Jennifer I. Patko and Daniel J. Illg and 2 great grandchildren, Andon Patko and Anna Kate Patko. She graduated from business school in New York and worked as a copy writer and dance instructor and was a member of an opera group in Greenwich Village, New York where she sang in musicals. She raised six children, was active in Girl Scouts and PTA and was a volunteer for The Light House for the Blind and The Library of Congress. She enjoyed reading, painting and being with her family. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff of Live Oak Village and St. Joseph's Hospice. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, LA on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am. Interment will be held in Savannah, GA. Donations to St. Joseph's Hospice in Covington preferred in lieu of flowers. ===================
