MYRA HEALY BLACKWELL, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 
at her home.

Beloved wife of the late Charles L. Blackwell for 49 years. Mother of Kathryn B. 
Jones (Brice) of Slidell, LA, Jeannie B. Bell of Madisonville, LA, Ann B. Hunt 
(Mike) of Baton Rouge, LA and Charles L. Blackwell, Jr. of Slidell, LA. Sister 
of Val Keller (Al) of Slidell, LA, Maurice Healy of Slidell, LA and the late 
Kathryn Kirsch, Lawrence Healy, Elaine Cutrer, Gerry Daly and Joy Monardo.

Also survived by 5 grandchildren; G. Stewart Jones (Jennifer), Charles L. "Trey" 
Blackwell, III (Brandy), Robert Hunt, Melissa K. Jones and Elizabeth Hunt; 4 
great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Age 84 years; a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1958. 

Mrs. Blackwell was the former Owner and Operator of the Slidell Credit Bureau 
for 30 years. She was a member of the Joy Lutheran Bible Study and also the 
Slidell Garden Club.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 
11:00am until 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. 

Donations to: Notre Dame Hospice, 113 Christian Lane, Slidell, LA 70458 is 
preferred, in lieu of flowers.
