Ruth Helwick Blanc, 92 of Lacombe, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2011 in Slidell.

She was the beloved wife of the late Spurlock E. Blanc Sr.; mother of Spurlock 
E. Blanc Jr., Daniel A. Blanc Sr. and wife Wilma S. Blanc and Mildred B. 
Silversten and husband William G. Silversten; daughter of the late Adam A. 
Helwick Sr. and Lena Manski Helwick; sister of the late Adam A. Helwick Jr.; 
grandmother of Spurlock E. Blanc, III, Retta Blanc, Daniel A. Blanc Jr., Tiffany 
A. Blanc, Patrick Ansley, Darren Ansley, Erin Meguez, Kathleen Ansley, Bryan J. 
Silversten, Leilani R. Silversten and the late Tina Blanc and Belinda Blanc; 20 
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Lacombe since 1973. Mrs. Blanc 
was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Slidell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at 
1 p.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, 1320 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell. 
TheRev. Barbara Simmers to officiate. Visitation will be at church from noon 
until 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories in Metairie.

Donations to The Memorial Fund at Peace Lutheran Church at the above address are 
preferred, in lieu of flowers.
