She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years: Bobby Jack Carter; and her parents Clarence and Gladys Weaver. She is survived by her children: Ricky and Shirleen Carter of Slidell LA, Myron and Debbie Schilling of Mt. Herman, LA, Jerry and Cindy Ashker of Slidell LA, Bobby and Angie Carter of Pearl River LA; four siblings: Lyloth Weaver of Tuscon, AZ, Bill and Shirley Weaver of Lewisville TX, Catherine Dunbar of Shreveport, LA, and Linwood and Sue Arthur of Flower Mound, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Mrs. Carter was a devoted member of First Pentecostal Church of Slidell. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Visitation will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Sunday, February 6, 2011, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, and on Monday, February 7, 2011, from 9:00am until 11:00 at the church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011, at 11:00am at First Pentecostal Church of Slidell, 388 Robert Blvd, in Slidell. Interment will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Pallbearers will be Jeff France, David Ashker, Darren Ashker, Christopher Carter, Wesley Thompson, Greg Parke, and Kenny Jackson. Memorial Gifts may be made to St. Joseph Hospice. ===================
