Beloved wife of the late Richard R. Howard, M.D. for fifty years. Mother of Dr. Richard R. Howard, II. Daughter of the late Alfred Adolph Mayer and Zulma Tabary Mayer. Sister of the late Leocadie Mayer Baldwin and Madeleine Baldwin. Other family members include, Douglas A. Park, one niece Madeleine Bruce Kopfler and husband Dr. Edwin Kopfler, one nephew Robert B. Baldwin, Jr., three grand nieces, Jenine Boykin, Fay Baldwin, Sarah Baldwin Camiolo, a grandnephew Chris Kopfler, one great grandnephew and niece Matthew Boykin and Madeleine Boykin. Age 95 years; a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA for the past 57 years. Mrs. Howard was an Artist, Managed her real estate rentals, Caregiver to her father, sister, and mother in law for a number of years. She was exemplary, selfless, and through in raising her son. She received her BA at Newcomb College (Tulane University) and did her graduate work in art and pottery at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) at Oxford, MS where she originated the pottery program. As a mother she was par excellence!! Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 3:30pm. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until 3:30pm. Interment will be private. Along with flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
