SMOOTH

Monroe Smooth Sr., of Slidell, departed this lefe at the age of 78, Tuesday Feb. 
15, 2011, at Ochsner Medical Center in Slidell.

Monroe was one of five children born to the late Evans and Mary Smooth. He was 
the beloved husband of Marie Williams Smooth for over 50 years; father of Monroe 
(Sandra) Smooth Jr., Lionel Smooth, Annette Smooth, Calvin Smooth and the late 
Diane Smooth Washington.

Monroe Smooth Sr. was a lifelong resident of Slidell and a retiree of Kaiser 
Aluminum.

The family of the late Monroe Smooth Sr. invites family and friends to attend 
the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Starlight Missionary Baptist 
Church, 2100 Second St., Slidell. Visitation will be from 9 - 11 a.m. 
Interment will follow at Slidell Memorial Cemetery.
