BORDES

Joan King Bordes, age 71 of Slidell, passed away Monday Feb. 28, 2011. 

She was a cook for Slidell Memorial Hospital. 

She is survived by her two children, Louis Bordes III (Linda) and Lynn Bordes 
Domecq (Jerry); her sister Fay Lee, and her best friend of 61 years Liz Wyatt 
Guillory. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Robert Brown Jr. (Kellie), 
Anthony Brown (Monique), Chanelle Price (Trey), Daniel Brown, Jerry Domecq Jr. 
(Pam), Jamie Stevens (Adam), Christina Domecq, Derek Alsobrook, Louis Bordes IV 
(Courtney), Antoinette Bordes, Rachel Dement, and Tyler Dement, and 11 great-
grandchildren, Brenden, Julian, Angel, Gavin, Julia, Drew, Antoine, Mazie, 
Alena, Evan and Trey.

She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Bordes Jr.; her parents Herman and 
Marie King, and her sister Edna Mae Reis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow from the chapel of D.T. 
Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy 41, Pearl River. Visitation will be held from 10 
a.m. until service time.
