CAPTAIN ROBERT WARREN BROOM, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 
2011,at his residence.

Beloved Husband of Olga Williams Broom. Father of Gary Warren Broom(Sandra) and 
Brant Lee Broom. Son of the late John and Isabella Broom. Brother of John Broom, 
Leroy Broom, Bernice Hodgeson, the late George, Fritz and Earl Broom, Also 
survived by 2 grandchildren .

Age 87 years.

A native of and lifelong resident of Slidell. He was a Captain retired from 
Military Sealift Command, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a survivor of Pearl 
Harbor. He was a past President of the Slidell Noon Lions Club, a Melvin Jones 
Award reciepient and a member of the V.F.W. Post #5735 and a member of 
N.A.R.F.E.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.
Visitation on Friday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Donations to the La. Lions Eye Foundation, 2020 Gravier, Ste. # B, N.O.La. 
70122-2272 or the Alzheimers, preferred, in lieu of flowers.
