Robert L. Cordes Sr., born March 15, 1940, in New Orleans, and who lived in 
Slidell since 1969, went home March 18,2011, after a heroic 3- year battle with 
lung cancer. 

He was the beloved husband of Beverly "Miggie" Lawrence Cordes for over 45 
years. He was the beloved father of two sons Frederick Emelio Jr. and Robert L. 
Cordes Jr.; two daughters from a previous marriage, Pam and Pat; Paw-Paw to 
Hunter Emelio and Savannah "Sweet Pea" Cordes; Great-Paw-Paw to Alexis Emelio; 
brother of Raymond, Roy, Randy Cordes and Lois C. Tessier, and the late Ronald 
and son of the late Greg and Elvira Cordes.

Bobby was a retired firefighter with the New Orleans Fire Department.

Family, friends, members of the N.O.F.D. and employees of Sam's Club are invited 
to Bobby's memorial service from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. April 2 at New Beginnings 
Church, 330 Robert Blvd., Slidell.

Special loving thanks to Pastors Morris St. Angelo and Reggie Hope, and our 
local church family. A great big God bless you to EMS, Slidell firemen, doctors 
and nurses at Slidell Memorial Hospital, and neighbors Clarence and Chad. Thanks 
and God bless his angel, Dr. Suarez.

Church.
