He was born in New Orleans. Over the years he successfully owned and operated two auto body shops, a craft lovingly taught to him by his father. Antique cars were his passion. He served in the Louisiana Air National Guard. He was a kind and generous husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had many life long friends. He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Lacombe. He is preceded in death by his parents Jacob Joseph Dendinger, Sr. and Elise Bordelon Dendinger. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife and soul mate, Lorraine Gomez Dendinger and children, daughter Wanda and husband, John B. Newbold of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; son Jacob Joseph III and wife, Debra Brookes of Milton Fla.; daughter Gwendolyn and husband, Charles Penny of Lacombe; son Kevin James and wife Kendall Foucek of Lacombe and daughter Victoria and husband Frederick Lawshe` of Pearl River. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River with the Rev. Gill officiating. Interment was in Mandeville Cemetery ===================
