He was 28. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Erin McKnight Dry, mother Sharon Ann Carraway, stepfather Sam Carraway; sister Anna Claire Dry, all of Mandeville, La.; his father-in-law Kevin Francis McKnight, Sr. and mother-in-law Marilyn "Tudy" Wylie McKnight, both of Folsom, La. He is also survived by his grandmother Lee Cangelosi Maloney of New Orleans; and brother-in-law Kevin Francis McKnight, Jr. of Folsom, La. His aunts and uncles Kathleen Maloney of Pinole, Calif.; Michael Sean and Dorothy Maloney of Lacombe, La..; John Gerard Maloney, William Joseph Maloney, Mary Lee and Marc Simon, Maureen Rose Maloney and Ann Margaret and Colley Charpentier, all of New Orleans, Stephanie Guess of Nashville, Tenn., Craig Dry of Huntsville, Ala., cousins -- Peter Sean Van Auken, Emily Jane and William Robert Blase, Sean Patrick Maloney, Christine Ann Cron, Juliana Marie Roche, Jason William and Joy Elizabeth Maloney, William Oliver Maloney II, Colleen Rose Maloney, Kathryn Amanda, Merritt Christine and Noah Ephraim Simon, Christopher Mapes, and Melissa, Forrest and Ian Flannery. He was preceded in death by his father John Frank Dry III, grandfather William O. Maloney, grandparents John Frank Dry II and Alice Maurine Dry and cousin John Patrick Maloney. Mr. Dry was born Feb.17, 1983, in New Orleans. His family moved to Mandeville where he grew up playing in the woods, catching frogs and fishing. He attended Mandeville High School. In his senior year, he met his wife-to-be Erin. He and Erin attended Louisiana State University together. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He and his wife married in 2007 and moved to Houston, Texas, where he worked as a personal trainer. He planned to attend graduate school to become a physical therapist. He loved his family. And, he loved animals, acquiring a menagerie of pets. He enjoyed body-building and relished the time he could spend outdoors fishing. His family will miss his warm brown eyes, his terrific sense of humor, his sensitivity and empathy for others, especially children. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Internment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. ===================
