He was retired from the Local Union 1244 and a member of First Baptist Church in Pearl River. Mr. James was the school crossing guard at Creekside Junior High, Riverside Elementary and Pearl River High School for the past two years. He is survived by his daughter Juliana James; his grandson Dylan Davis and his aunt, Betty Abernathy. Mr. James is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Ellen Christine Gustafson James. He is also preceded in death, by one day, by his dog Duchess who was his loyal companion for 17 years. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today from the Chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time. Brother Waller to be officiating. ===================
