Glenn P. Jayne, 53, of New Orleans, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
died March 23, 2011, of complications following surgery. 

He is survived by his father, Larry L. Jayne (Louann); sister Kimberly D. 
Helgeland; brother Tobias S. Jayne (Anndrea); nephews Jacob Pretz, Alexander 
Helgeland and Anderson Jayne; niece Elizabeth Jayne; and long-term friend and 
domestic companion, Annabelle Walker. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kunigunde (Connie) Jayne, originally of 
Jugenheim, Germany.

Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as a skilled craftsman and 
mechanic who provided valuable assistance to other residents and to police and 
fire personnel in his Lower Algiers neighborhood, in the days following 
Hurricane Katrina.
