Beloved husband of 57 years to Gloria Boesch McDaniel; loving father of Danny McDaniel (Adelaida), Gary McDaniel (Luz Maria), Kenneth McDaniel and the late Dr. Kelvin McDaniel; father-in-law to Suzy McDaniel; grandfather of Elyse, Paul, Michael, Andrew, Kristen, Andrea, Gary Anthony and Kevin; and brother of Stanley McDaniel. Besides his son, he was preceded in death by his mother, America Crespo McDaniel; his father, James Carl McDaniel, Sr.; and a brother, James McDaniel, Jr. Age 80 years, he was a native of Tela, Honduras and a resident of the Greater New Orleans area for 25 years and was a farmer in the banana farming business in Honduras. Alfred was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until service time on Friday. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
