JOAN GELPI MCGUAY, 82, of Slidell, LA on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at her home 
after a lengthy illness.

Beloved Wife of the late Retired Drill Sgt Robert L. McGuay; Mother of Anthony 
McGuay, Gerard McGuay, and Tara McGuay Guillory Daughter of the late John and 
Ione Braud Gelpi; Sister of John Gelpi Jr., Ginger Gaudet, and Paulette 
Hallford; Also survived by seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1976. Affectionately 
known as "Meme", she will always be in our hearts and prayers.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Funeral 
Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST 
LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Interment 
will be in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 9:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, or the American 
Lung Association.
