Beloved husband of Allison Heaps de Pe–a for 38 years. Loving father of Melissa Isabel Pe–a Biggs and Esteban Paul Breckenridge Pe–a. Son of the late Dora Serra Adrianzen and Hipolito Pe–a Fowks of Peru. Loving brother of Hipolito Javier Pe–a Serra (Tato), and 6 sisters, Maria Saba Pe–a Serra, Carmen Maria Pe–a de Delly, Dora Amelia Pe–a de Delly, Maria Esperanza Pe–a de Lacroix (Tata), Maria Elena Pe–a de Castro, and Dora Elena Pe–a de Noriega. Preceded in death by 2 sisters, Angelica del Socorro Pe–a de Myers (Coco), and Carmen Teresa Pe–a Serra, all residents of Negritos, Talara and Lima, Peru. Grandfather of Miles Monroe Biggs, II, Maxwell William Biggs, and Lucy LaPorte Biggs. And a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in Peru and the United States. The family would like to express their deep gratitude and appreciation to Hospice of St. Tammany and our dear niece, Lisa Fickenscher, RN, ACNP, CNOR, MSN, Surgical Oncology, Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, Md. Pedro worked in the oil and gas industry his entire life. In Peru with N.Y. & Houston-based Belco Petroleum Corporation of Peru as their first Peruvian barge captain and then as an Off-Shore construction supervisor & foreman until 1979, when he came to the United States with his wife and two children to work for Drew Cornell, Inc., Lafayette, LA. From 1981-1999 Pedro worked for Shell Oil Company, New Orleans, LA. As a Senior Off-Shore Construction Specialist, Pedro planned, coordinated, and executed many off-shore construction projects in the Gulf. Pedro became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1983, yet his spirit and heart was always Peruvian. Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial Mass at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., St. Benedict, LA 70457 on 28 March , 2011 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Pena to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433. ===================
