Beloved Husband of Shirley Faucheux Ranatza Son of the late Joseph and Thelma Ranatza Father of Ann Ranatza, Carolyn "Cissy" Atzenhoffer (Mark), Renelle Combel (Robert), Cindy Failla (David), Wendy Ranatza and the late Rene Raymon Ranatza, Jr. Brother of Guy Ranatza, Theresa Ranatza, John King, the late Joe Ranatza, Thelma Seghers, Yvonne Gambino D'Arcy, Delores Parks and Milton "Boogie" Ranatza Grandfather of 15 grandchildren, Brittany Guthrie, Rebeka Atzenhoffer, Amanda Maloz, Buddy, Robyn, Rustin, Robert, Rachael Combel, David Jr., (D.J.), Renelle (Belle), Marella, Lucien, Michaela Failla, Michael and Hailey Graves and the late Rene R. Ranatza,III. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age 76 years. A native of Harahan and a longtime resident of Slidell. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and an avid fisherman and golfer. He was a member of the V. F. W. Post # 6793. He was a Switchman and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 22 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 12:00 O'clock noon. Visitation at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd., West, Slidell, on Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. ===================
