REMEL

Betty J. Remel, 64, of Mize, Miss., died Monday, March 28, 2011, at home.

She was born Dec. 1, 1946 in Bogalusa. She was a member of First Baptist Church 
of Mize and a member of the Mississippi Homemakers Club. She was an avid fan of 
the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. She also had a passion for family, 
friends and keeping them close.

Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lloyd A Remel; children, Brent A 
(Gema) Remel of Chalmette, William D. (Robin) Remel II, of Dacula, Ga., Lloyd A 
(Melissa) Remel Jr., of Winder, Ga., Rachel A. Remel and Cherelle A. Jordan, 
both of Mize; a brother, Charles H "Silky" (Bonnie) Sullivan Jr. of Mandeville; 
a sister, Jean (Larry) Sullivan-Pigott of Pearl River and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loretta Wood Sullivan and Charles H. 
Sullivan.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Mize., 
and will continue at the church from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service tomorrow. 
Burial will follow in Mize City Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 
Miss., is in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Mevers, Gene Kreideweis, Glen Oramous, 
Russell Kassin, Danny Wood, Steven Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be her 
grandsons, Brock Jordan, Daniel Remel, Wesley Remel, Elijah Remel, Brenden Remel 
and Trent Remel
