Orise James Rushing passed away Monday, March 14, 2011. 

He was born April 7, 1929 in Franklinton, LA to the late John Mathew and Mattie 
Rogers Rushing and has been a resident of Covington since 1968.

The beloved husband of Bobbie Elaine Hunt Rushing, he is survived by his son, 
Jonathan Clay Rushing; three daughter: Linda Rushing Gill, Kathryn Rushing 
Dutruch and Patricia Rushing Nelson; six grandchildren: Terrell Peyton, Alvin 
Scott and James Sydney Dutruch, Lori Nelson, Adam Rushing and Roger "Trey" 
Nelson III and two great granddaughters, Kaylee Peyton and Emma Dutruch. 

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Pauline Kirby, Lillian Hunt, 
Geraldine Polk and his brother, John Mathew Rushing, Jr.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 
2:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2011 from the chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 
2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

A wake is scheduled for Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6-9:00 PM with visiting 
hours beginning Friday at 12:00 Noon.

Interment at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery will immediately follow services.
