Mr. Sellers passed away on Friday, March 11th, 2011 following a brief illness, he was 52 years old. He was born in Abbeville on December 30th, 1958. George retired as a project manager for Chevron/Texaco after working for the company for 27 years. George was a gregarious man who never met a stranger; friends and family will attest to the fact that he could light up a room with his ability to make everyone laugh. George always made time for his children and the children in his Mandeville community. He was involved with the area's youth and gave his time tirelessly for many years as a little league baseball coach and served as director of the Mandeville Youth Baseball Association. George leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Camille; and their two children, son Cody and daughter, Hilary. He is also survived by his sister, Cathy Connors and brother, Russell. George was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Lemaire Broussard and George Herbert Sellers, Sr.; step-father, Ray J. Broussard; and one brother, Gary Sellers. Relatives and friends are asked to attend both visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 9:00 AM until 12 noon and the Memorial Mass following at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W.
