He was born January 30, 1953 in Pittsburg, PA, the son of Katherine Soumas Spyridon and the late Gus Arthur Spyridon and has been a resident of the New Orleans area for the past 30 years. The beloved husband of Donna Parziale Spyridon, he is survived by two children, Preston and Ashton Spyridon, two step children Ethan and Nathanial Wrobel; his mother Katherine Spyridon of Mobile, AL; sister and brother-in law Barbara and Jay Pope of Bethesda, MD; brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Sunny Spyridon of Nashville, TN; four nieces and two nephews. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, raised in Pascagoula, MS. Mr. Spyridon was the graduate of Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, PA, Vanderbilt University, University of Mississippi Law Center, J.D. and Tulane University School of Law, L.L.M. Environmental Law. Mr. Spyridon, a prominent attorney and senior partner of the law firm of Spyridon, Palermo, and Dornan, LLC, was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Third, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits and all State and Federal Courts in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. An author and frequent lecturer, Mr. Spyridon spoke before the Louisiana Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, the Port of Houston and various charitable and civic organizations on a wide range of marine, environmental and commercial topics. Mr. Spyridon was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of New Orleans, LA; he was the founder and Coach of the Mandeville High School Lacrosse team and as an accomplished athlete he competed in numerous competitions including the Ironman, tri-athalons and road races. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral liturgy at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1200 Robert E. Lee Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70122. A wake is scheduled for Friday, March 11, 2011 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433 from 6-9:00 PM with visiting hours at the Cathedral beginning Saturday at 1:00 PM. Interment at the Theodore Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville, LA will immediately follow the funeral liturgy. ===================
