He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Henryetta "Tita" Rareshide Waguespack, by his children Richard Stephen Waguespack, Jr., Susan Waguespack Knowlton, Anne Berteau Waguespack, and David Felicien Waguespack and by his grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, Mary, Sarah, Natalie, Charlotte, Emily, Andrew, Wilhelm and Grace. He was the son of the late Felix Pierre Pochˇ Waguespack and America Abaunza Waguespack. He is survived by his sister America Waguespack Ellinghausen and predeceased by his brother Felix Pierre Pochˇ Waguespack, Jr. He was born in New Orleans on November 22, 1930 and graduated from Jesuit High School and Loyola University. After completing service in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant, he worked for the United Fruit Company in Cuba and owned a dairy farm in Liberty, Mississippi. He later was a pioneer in northshore real estate, opening branches office of Waguespack Pratt, Inc. in Covington, Slidell, and Hammond in the 1960s. He acted as a broker n the northshore area for more than 40 years, finishing his career with Prudential Gardner, Realtors. During this time, he was a daily lector at St. Peter Catholic Church, served in the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and was awarded the St. Louis Medallion by the Archdiocese of New Orleans for his service to the Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Monday from 10:30 AM until Mass Time. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. Masses preferred and donations to St. Vincent De Paul Society. ===================
