Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2011/st1104.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Ruby Mayfield Creswell, 91, of Covington was born in Kinder on February 8, 1920 and died on Thursday, April 28, 2011. She attended Vincent Business College in Lake Charles where she was named outstanding graduate in 1939. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Paul Creswell and moved to Baton Rouge where she worked alongside Paul, contributing to the success of his business endeavors. The family moved to Covington in 1972 and there they enjoyed an idyllic life on the Tchefuncte River. Ruby enjoyed needlework, gardening, painting, and entertaining with her renowned cooking. Ruby was a lover of all animals, but especially her dogs and she will be missed by her "Angel". Ruby is survived by her husband of 72 years, Paul; daughter, Brenda; son, Tim; grandchildren, Ashley Stutes and husband Jason, Kurt Nossaman, and Allison Creswell, all of Baton Rouge; brothers, Earl Mayfield of Jennings and Norman Johnson, Jr. of Motgomery, TX; sisters, Dorothy Mayfield of Lake Charles and Mary Louise Manuel of Kinder. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie and Lena Mayfield; step-father, Norman Johnson; son, Paul Creswell, Jr.; brothers, R.G. and Glen Mayfield. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anselm Catholic Church on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 12:30 PM with visitation at church on Monday beginning at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Creswell be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The family thanks Millie and Herman Caston and Velma Weatherby for their loving care of Ruby. Thanks are also extended as well to the entire staff of Christwood Retirement Community in Covington. ===================
