Beloved wife of seven years of Michael W. Jacobs; loving mother of Joseph Matta (Jamie); daughter of Elsie Colton Allen; and sister of Charlene Whittaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Joseph Loring, who was a Medal of Honor recipient that lost his life as an Air Force pilot during the Korean War; and a brother, Howard Branch "Bug" Smith. Age 62 years, she was a native of Seattle, WA and a resident of the Northshore for the past 21 years. A National Board Certified Teacher, she was a Librarian at Sarah Reed Senior High School in New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend memorial services at Christ Episcopal Church, 1534 Seventh Street, Slidell, LA on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
