Beloved husband of Janice Wyles McManus. Father of Debra F. McManus Blackwell and spouse Jerome F. and Jerry L. McManus, Jr. and spouse Kathie. Grandfather of Nicholas J. Blackwell, Tyler R. and Joshua L. McManus. Brother of Howard, Royce, Lonnie Ray and Earl Ward McManus. Son of the late Ray and Gladys Lecresia Ward McManus. Age 64 years. A native of Gilbert, LA, a former longtime resident of St. Bernard and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 5 years. He was a medical gas inspector, installer and instructor for National ITC. He retired from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #60 and was the Business Manager for many years. He was a member of the United Association/ AWS/ LA State Building Trades, IAPMO/ ASSE, Grand Lodge of LA F.& A.M. Andrew Jackson # 428, Shriners International, SE Building Trades/ AFL-CIO and St. Timothy United Methodist Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr., Mandeville, LA 70471 on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the church following the interment. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners or to the American Cancer Society. ===================
